Management

Making the invisible visible

Last week, we attended a conference by our friends at CANU. A phrase from Maxime Boilard resonated deeply: "Collaboration is played out above all in the invisible." Emotions, intentions, aspirations, unspoken things, perceptions, expectations... Everything that isn't expressed, yet influences everything.

And yet, this invisible space is often where misunderstandings, mistrust and friction arise. Conversely, it's also where trust and team cohesion are built. So how do we make the invisible visible?

3 simple ideas to make the invisible visible

  1. Creating a team agreement

Clarify together our expectations, our ways of working, what we want to encourage and what we want to avoid. This removes 80% of the grey areas.

  2. Doing a mini TED talk
A 10-minute activity in which everyone shares a piece of themselves: a defining moment, an important value, a challenge, an inspiration, etc.
  3. Learning to name your emotions
As soon as an emotion has a word, it becomes shareable and understandable. Emotional intelligence is a muscle that can be worked.

Making the intangible tangible

Breaks in trust. Not told. Silos. These challenges recur in every organization... but they often remain abstract. That's exactly why we created the the Team Cohesion Index (TCI).

To highlight what cannot be seen, to name what is felt, and to measure what really counts in the human experience of teams. Because what we make visible and tangible to everyone... becomes transformable.
