Introducing "Food for Thought" #32. The formula is simple: three short messages once a week to feed your mind.

Leadership

The 4-day week at one of our customers

Scierie St-Michel, a company specializing in wood processing, recently implemented a 4-day week for all its plant employees. Instead of following the traditional model of 5 8-hour days, employees now work 4 10-hour days, Monday to Thursday. This paradigm shift has resulted in happier employees and, above all, a more efficient plant. Read what President Jean-François Champoux had to say on the show "Y'a du monde à la messe" (There are lots of people at mass).

Management

Reinvesting profits

Netflix and Amazon's strategy has always been to focus on growth rather than profitability. Virtually all their earnings are reinvested. In the case of Netflix, there are no dividend payments, and at Amazon, these are very limited.

Motivation

Follow your heart

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it leading an existence that isn't your own. Don't be a prisoner of dogmas that force you to live in obedience to other people's thinking. Don't let the external hubbub drown out your inner voice. Have the courage to follow your heart and your intuition. Both know what you really want to become, and the rest is secondary. The rest is secondary."
