Introducing "Food for Thought" #52. The formula is simple: three short messages once a week to feed your mind.

Leadership

Why do some athletes win more often?

All Superbowl players were aiming for victory. Nevertheless, half of them left without a trophy. The question remains: why are athletes like Patrick Mahomes so successful?

  1. Winners and losers often have the same goals. Goals only produce results if we commit to our habits. This requires a deep commitment to revising our habits and methodologies.
  2. A winner is not there for a single achievement. Driven by passion, he engages in a relentless quest for perfection and improvement. Patrick Mahomes, reflecting on his performance, remarked, "We're not done yet."
  3. You can't always control the end result. Whether on the soccer pitch or in life, various external factors can lead to failure. All great winners have already failed. The difference lies in the way they overcome these obstacles, controlling their reaction to adversity to bounce back stronger.

Motivation

The theory of small steps

1% of 24 hours = 14 minutes and 24 seconds.

These minutes represent 1% of your day.

What's one thing you could do that, if you devoted just 1% of your day to it, would have a positive impact on your life?

Optimism

You always have a choice

Psychiatrist and Holocaust survivor Viktor Frankl on freedom of choice:

"Everything can be taken from a man except one thing: the last of human freedoms, to choose one's attitude in any given circumstance, to choose one's own path."

Zig Ziglar also said, "It's your attitude, not your ability, that determines your altitude."
