Introducing "Food for Thought" #38. The formula is simple: three short messages once a week to feed your mind.
Management
To counter burnout in our organizations
- Nature, rather than workload. Exhaustion depends more on the nature than the volume of work. A person who invests many hours a week in his or her zones of genius will be less likely to burn out than one who operates in his or her zones of frustration, even with fewer hours. The ultimate goal is to be able to put your strengths into play every day.
- The frequency, rather than the duration, of vacations. The frequency of vacations is more important than their duration. A two-week vacation taken separately is more restorative than a two-week vacation taken consecutively. Breaks are vital.

State of mind
What's your posture this morning?
Take a moment to become aware of your posture with these 3 steps: STOP - SCAN - ADJUST
- STOP: stop (the most difficult stage)
- SCAN: observe your emotions and feelings without judgment
- ADJUST: adapt your posture to better serve the situation, the mission, the objective, the world, etc.
