Balance sheet introduction
How is it possible that it's already almost the end of 2021?
It seems like only yesterday that it was January and I was sitting in a yurt by the wood-burning stove, thinking about the year ahead and all it promised: the expansion of Hubu. The launch of the Greatness program. The return of face-to-face training. It was all that and more.
Here we are, 12 months later. What's been going on for you over the last 12 months? Have you taken the time to stop and really think about it?
I've always been really bad at doing that. I just move on to the next year without really stopping and thinking about everything I've been through. Worse still, if I didn't create that space to do it myself, it would also mean that I wasn't creating the space for our team (Gabriel and I) to reflect on everything we'd been through together before embarking on this new year.
Since then, I've realized the value of intentional reflection, of taking the time, and I've made a real effort to be better at it personally and also with the company. In fact, we even build reflection into our quarterly team meetings so that we have several opportunities throughout the year to pause and look back before looking forward.
Our final team meeting of the year, on December 20, will be another moment of final reflection. Instead of looking only at the last quarter, we'll examine our victories, challenges and lessons learned for the entire year, both at work and in our personal lives. So, as I prepare for our final team meeting of 2021 and write the last blog post of the year, I thought it would be only fair to take advantage of this time to share my reflection with you!

The importance of "1 on 1" follow-up to move a project forward.

Making a price to a customer sets a precedent. Giving up or saying no to a customer.
-
An entrepreneur must pay himself, otherwise he's not an entrepreneur. A business must be profitable, otherwise it's not a business.

Even when things are going well, we have to constantly question ourselves and seek to improve and enhance our offering to customers.
-
Take care of your customers, friends and family before trying to make new ones!

Conclusion
And that's it. The balance sheet is complete. 2021, I'll never forget you and the impact you've had on me and on us. You taught me to take risks, to dream bigger, to live, to love and to be present. You've helped me better define myself and what Hubu will become. Thank you for the victories, the challenges and the lessons learned. You've been a hard year, and at the same time, a beautiful one.
And to you, dear reader, thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being with us in 2021. Thank you for staying with us and believing in us, especially this year. I love having you by our side.
Our team is on vacation from December 23 to January 10. We look forward to a few weeks of free time with the family!
In the meantime, I hope that you too will be able to create a space for reflection and take stock. I hope you can take the time over the next few weeks to unplug and make time for yourself. It's so important.
SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!
We can't wait to see what 2022 has in store for us.
Until then, happy holidays to you and the biggest hug of 2021 from Gabriel and Daniel,
-Daniel
