Introducing "Food for Thought" #70. The formula is simple: three short messages once a week to feed your mind.

Leadership

Let yourself be amazed

For most of us, our minds are far quicker to execute than to think. It's often easier to run around, never stopping to ask why. Summer is an ideal time to take a step back and answer big questions such as:

  • Am I happy?
  • What do I really want?
  • What is my greatest wish for the coming year?
  • What will I regret in ten years' time?
  • What would I do if I wasn't afraid?

Our summer challenge to you is to make an appointment with yourself. Take the opportunity to write in a journal and answer these questions.

Management

Increase flexibility and reduce intensity

As an employer, do you offer a flexible summer schedule? Such an arrangement is motivating for employees, because it's experienced collectively, allowing everyone to enjoy it in their own way. As an entrepreneur or self-employed person, do you allow yourself to reduce the intensity? The summer break should be seen as a period of recuperation, allowing you to recharge your batteries.
