Introducing "Food for Thought" #3. The formula is simple: three short messages once a week to feed your mind.

Teamwork

10 questions to measure a team's success

If you were to ask your team members these questions, you should aspire to get as many "Yes" answers as possible:

  1. Is the mission motivating and inspiring?
  2. Is the vision clear?
  3. Are roles and responsibilities clear for all team members?
  4. Are ideas openly shared?
  5. Are team members fulfilling their responsibilities on time, all the time, and with excellence?
  6. Do team members have the chance to use their strengths every day?
  7. Do team members take responsibility for their mistakes without fear of punishment or being perceived as incompetent?
  8. Are problems solved quickly?
  9. Do team members deal quickly with friction and delicate situations?
  10. How often is recognition given?

Leadership

Stay humble and hungry

When success arrives, and comfort and complacency set in, don't fall into the trap. Keep innovating and evolving.

"What got you here won't get you there."
-Marshall Goldsmith

Productivity

KPIs rethought

Measure your habits, not your results. Your results are a consequence of your habits.

Here are a few examples to get you started:

  1. 20 minutes of exercise
  2. Five minutes of meditation
  3. Prioritize your to-do list
  4. Contact a customer
  5. Read five pages of a book
